The Nashville Prayer Room will be established on the upper floors of the historic Koinonia Bookstore building.

Long before Music Row was Music Row, this was holy ground: a place of prayer and revival, and a gate to the city of Nashville. It belongs to a lineage that reaches back to the frontier revivals of Barton W. Stone (who helped spark the Cane Ridge revival of 1801) and forward to the 1911 tent meeting that gave birth to Belmont Church on this very site. Here Koinonia Bookstore and Coffeehouse helped ignite Nashville's expression of the Jesus Movement in the early 1970s, and Don Finto's "Revolution at 16th and Grand" became a wellspring of Spirit-led worship that reached the nations.

For over a century, this ground has hosted tent revivals, moves of the Spirit, missionaries, and artists. We believe God is calling His people back to this place, not for nostalgia, but for what is next.

A Legacy of Outpourings of the Spirit

1801 - Barton W. Stone, who preached in and around Nashville, both before and after Cane Ridge Revival that swept the region, awakening a generation for Jesus.
1911 - A tent revival on this site marks the beginning of Belmont Church, long before Music Row became Music Row.
Early 1970s - Koinonia Bookstore & Coffeehouse became an epicenter of the Jesus Movement in the South.
Mid-1970s - Don Finto's "Revolution at 16th and Grand" establishes this as ground where the Spirit moves boldly.
Today - A spiritual gate to the city, being prepared for the next great movement of unified prayer and worship with and for the greater Nashville.

Nashville Prayer Room will be a 24/7 house of prayer located above the historic Koinonia Bookstore building on Music Row. It will be a sacred, always-open space where the Nashville Church will gather to worship, intercede, and keep watch together.
